They stumbled upon the mouth of that cave, when hearing the faint cries for help from blind Chickasaw girl who was being held there for ransom. Their unwitting heroism put them in triple jeopardy— chased by Taggard Hall and his gang, deputized by the sheriff to raid their hideout, and harassed by the spectral residents of Ghost Cavern. Aurion du Preez lives with his wife and two dogs in a small community outside Dallas, Texas. He is fully retired from a rewarding career, and devotes much of his time to research and writing, but most to family activities and travel. He has published a number of scholastic books and essays.
